Screaming in the Wind

Screaming in the Wind

A Poem by Kerri Maniscalco

She screams quietly against the wind
Screams out loud for someone
Not just her voice from within

She gave her heart to him
Beating each beat for him
She gave her heart to him
And he only gave her sin

He talks like a saint while carrying her in
Walks tall and proud
All the while, she’s screaming within

He took her love and buried it deep
Took from her all he could keep
She lost herself, only for a while
While he ran around town
And she sat in denial

She screams quietly against the wind
Screams out loud for someone
To hear her voice from within

He took her love and buried it deep
Took her love and all he could keep
The damage is done and it’s pain he has reaped
Taking her love and now she can’t speak

She gave her heart to him
Beating each beat for him
She gave her heart to him
And he only gave her sin

Again you have done it again.
Such wise words and truth you have bestowed.
Your flow of words and graceful poetic skills
Is what makes your writes speak.
I like this one alot as well.
