Thief in the Night

Thief in the Night

A Poem by Kerri Maniscalco

You stole my kisses
like a thief in the night
Stole my kisses
Then ran out of sight

Walk the path of lovers
Keeping secrets
Under the covers
Stealing kisses
Secret lovers

You stole my love
Like a thief in the night
Stole my love
And it just ain’t right

Lost our souls
Late in the night
Lost our love
Somewhere before first light

You stole my kisses
Like a thief in the night
Stole my kisses
Then ran out of sight

Something about it, just ain’t right
Stealing my kisses, in the dead of night
Stealing my kisses, in the dead of night

Great flow and structure and it had a fun undertone to it despite the subject matter. A pleasure to read.

You stole the kisses like a thief and ran away..
walked the path of lovers, secrets under covers..
You stole my love, and it just aint right
stealing my kisses in the dead of night
that was lovely and so nice,a twist on love how it could be tricky and elusive..
I really loved this..
lovely write..
