Under Your Mask

Under Your Mask

A Poem by Kerri Maniscalco

Yours is a face I wish I could touch

When you look in to my eyes,

My heart beats fast and my face begins to flush

You have taken me under your spell

Promised me things I never can tell

Your words are like a summer day

Chasing the demons I held within so far away

Always at arms length, how are you the man who’s given me my strength

Wish I could know what’s under your mask

Wish I could comfort you when you reach out to grasp

Your love is a mystery so new to me

Setting my soul a blaze and yearning my heart to beat free

Yours is a face I wish I could touch

When you look into my eyes,

My heart beats and my face begins to flush

You have taken me under your spell

Promised me things I never can tell

Your words are like a summer day

Chasing the demons I held within so far away

This poem had rhyme, passion, excitememnt and joie di vie there is love between the creator and her suitor but yet a mystery remains between the admirer and the admired.
Fair lady has fallen in deep and is swept away by his strength of character, love has blossomed by the art of his devotion to her but she is a lioness ready to grow with her new found emotional bonding.
