To Be As She

To Be As She

A Poem by Krista Gallant

It is a night of dark desire, a song of lust,

wolves vent their howls.

The thirsting one awakens.

Night shrouds her stalking form,

a timeless and everlasting wanting.

Her silken hair cascades over

translucent ivory shoulders, and her

full deeply crimson lips part slightly,

to taste the life streaming from

the pale flesh beneath her.

Now a night of ecstasy,

I hunger to be as she.
