Europe's child

Europe's child

A Poem by kmacdonald78
"

This is sort of a prophecy that I felt led to write regarding how America is abandoning what she once stood for to join in the One World, One Idea effort. This country was unique in virtue once.

"
Europe, Old World, Motherland gave birth to a beautiful child
who chose to follow her Father's voice; she was unprecedented and wild.
It wasn't long before she shone like the Sun, so proud and strong and free.
The imagination could not contain how great she someday would be.
Her mother watched as she grew in size, matched only by her faith;
Fertile and fruitful she prospered, excelled, acknowledging Father in all of her ways.
There was no other like her and everyone agreed
she had the Midas touch, as did others who followed her lead.
But some siblings back in Motherland felt threatened by her ways.
They planned to overcome her soon so numbered were her days.
"Let's determine her source of power then cut her off from it.
But first pretend to be her friend until all her secrets are spent".
The child who saw so much success was glad to entertain
her siblings so full of compliments, in awe of her terrain.
She didn't mind sharing that her strength came from;
her Father up in Heaven and Jesus, His only Son.
The wheels began to turn and the evil ones conspired
the way to bring this Samson down and leave her lying in the mire
is to get her to turn her head and heart away from the Father and Son;
to confuse her laws and rules and seperate them from it's Source, the Most Powerful One.
There was part of her that loved the Father but a big part looked back to the Mother.
How soon she forgot where her blessings came from; she chose to join her sisters and brothers.
Once she turned from Faith, it seemed, she lost her power and charm.
Her siblings stole every bit of her worth and stripped her of her arms.
Now she's lame and poor and sad, dependent on everyone.
And no one even remembers when she shone like the Sun.

It shows that things are always changing. In life there should be no promises because as circumstances changes they risk being broken. We should instead lead with good intentions.
