Lovey Dovey

Lovey Dovey

A Poem by Kelly M.

Yeah, I can tell
By those sparkling eyes
Shining with love
Like fireflies

With her head in the clouds
And the way she dreams
Love that exceeds all else
That's what it seems

She whistles with hope
Like a morning dove
I just can't believe
She's fallen in love

Definately a carefree and casual poem. I like this style. Love can change you in good ways and sometimes in bad ways if you're with the wrong person. You've showed us in this poem the good ways that love shapes us. I feel like the message is very strong and it's something I write all my poetry about. The message that everyone around us shapes who we are as individuals. Well done as always.

This poem isn't short. The length doesn't matter when it comes to poetry because all you're doing is expressing your ideas and thoughts into a beautiful piece of writing, like this one. Wonderful job! :)

First love is the most torrid and in some wayspainful

Even though it's short it packs in a lot of meaning and emotion. Loved it! I believe the last line you meant to put "It's" you just have it. My only critique. Another great poem!!
