Proof

Proof

A Poem by GoldenOne
"

Poem about someone I admire.

"
I want you to know that I see you--
and truly, you've won my respect.
Your faith and your quiet humility
certainly have had an effect.

I want you to not be discouraged
by haters and players and fools.
Some still stand by your convictions
who are not misled by the "cool."

I want you to not feel invisible
for I still perk up when you pass.
I know how it stings when they scorn you,
but your strength is what they harass.

But you must hang on to your calling,
for you have the answers I seek.
Stand up for the bright light of truth,
for you are the proof that I need.

Does half of you feel like it's missing?
And do you just wait there for more?
Do you ever get tired of wishing
for wholeness to walk though your door?

Sometimes I get lost in these feelings,
but it's your face that opens my eyes.
Truth has a way of revealing
herself through the panicky lies.

You make me want to be better,
you make the waiting aches heal.
You make me love the forever,
and you make me see this is real.

So touching
I am melting here
The security in every line
So beautiful

I find that this poem could serve as a great reminder to most, that everyone has someone just waiting for them to see. To see their potential, their beauty and the love that others hold for them despite what the 'fools' may say. I really enjoyed this piece, it's beautiful.
