Can't sleep

I hate when we fight.. She leaves at night, all night & therefore I can't sleep.. Not until she's back in bed with me..

Every time you leave, you take my heart right along with you..

It's these times, where i'm wondering if you'll be back in the morning or are you gone for good..

I try to go to sleep but all I do is toss & turn all hours of the night..

It's so hard trying to get a goodnights rest when you're not here..

Sometimes I catch myself reaching over as if you're there..

I want to wrap my arms around you & hold you close to me..

But when I look over at the emptiness that is your side of the bed, i'm forced to hold on to your pillow instead..

Your scent is on it & I can smell you as if you were with me..

Therefore it's a little harder but I tell myself to sleep, that it's okay & you'll be back..

Repeatedly, I say this in my head..

Til' the sun starts to rise & you walk in..

Lay beside me, cuddle close & wrap my arms around you..

I whisper don't leave again because I can't sleep without you..

You say you love me then we fall asleep with each in our arms...
