nightmare in real life

you ask my name,

i tell you.

you chase me around,

i run

you catch me,

i fall down.

you're on top of me,

i scream.

you kiss me,

i cry.

you touch me,

i'm so afraid.

you release me,

my body's free.

you leave me,

my mind is trapped.

you remain here,

in my nightmares.

An incredibly dark and sad poem. Unfortunately I've heard these same stories way too many times.

This is something that happened to me in fifth grade, just in fewer words. It was devastating and I've never really gotten over it
