Impatience

Impatience

A Poem by SilentLullabies

I sit here,

Surrounded but alone.

I say nothing,

Just wait.

Wait...

For the annoying bell,

The sound announcing

The end of the day.

A cold chill

Races up my spine

When I realize

How people don't see

How they speed through

their lives, too impatient,

Unable to wait,

To enjoy what they have,

Instead of just complain.
