Skyscrapers

Skyscrapers

A Poem by klayur

this pill is the proof of my pain
red liquid, so i can sleep
There is a reality so strong and brute,
it knocks, it knocks, it knocks
me down, onto a completely empty floor.
It's a wrecking ball flattening the entirety
of the delusions and dreams I have stacked-up upon:
mortar and cement and bricks and blocks and
dreams and scenes and pictures and sounds-
leaps and bounds past my life or my State.
Built up, stretched up, so much higher in the sky, than could be deemed safe.
By anyone, anywhere. Ever.
