A Poem by klayur

breasts

sloped, sad, and c**k-eyed

like two bananas strung up from my chest.

a betrayal to the senses of a 24 year old

and her younger, still, partner.

bankrupt of the joys and pride of youthfulness,

carelessness,

fullness,

desirability.

"the beauty of youth fades"

an assumption for those lucky enough

to have it in their youth at all.

A clashing combination:

the face, cheeks, and hue of a child

attached to the organs of one tired and worn,

uneven, stretched out,

one now past their peak, now on the downward slant,

looking useless, flattened, disinterested,

as if they decided to give up.

an offense, to an entitled girl, demanding reparation.

Why me!”

a despised secret, a hated shame,

forced to concede and forced to hide.
