She is Today

About trying to be 'here and now' but too far gone.

He is a man who opens his eyes to the dark
Home is total black, until tomorrow he'll be dark

He's tangled in memories and fear
He cant be saved, he cant see clear

There's talk about the Land of Today's
They go and wake up with the sun rays
For its too bright to be so dark, they say
Come with me, I'll show you the way

She appears, from a memory or a fear?
"I come from today"
her angel voice, so near
He cant think, he doesn't know what to say
He knows today is dark, so she cant be today.

Shes nothing like what he knows
He is a thorn and she is a rose

Yet, he craves his old ways
Because he is too dark for today
