A Poem by Electric Green Earth Child
"

Rejection and Self-Destruction

"

I can't purge myself of this feeling

I see the burning embers falling

Down over me tonight

As I lie in the ashes

Of my own hell

All alone

Lying next to nothingness

And frustration

I can't rhyme

I can't cry

I can't smoke a f*****g cigarette

Driving down Sutter Avenue

Always reminded me of a nice glass of wine

On a summer's evening

Where I knew I'd find you waiting

These are days which are now enveloped

By flame

I can't rhyme

I can't cry

I can't smoke a f*****g cigarette

I can only lie here in the ashes of my own destruction

And watch as the burning embers of moments past, fall.

I like it! Very raw and right to the point. Something I could def. relate to.
