The Thorn

The Thorn

Many times has the sun faded behind the trees since ive seen your face
Many times have I crossed the path of a stranger wondering if they’d seen you too
World hasn’t stopped turning when you were thrown right at me
Just one look your eyes sear through my flesh right into my soul
Reheating a flame within myself that never really burned out
I am like a flower in spring rain wilting to the ground when you come near
But don’t ever doubt that my thorns are ready for your sweet fingertips if you tried to harvest me for your own
Once again you will fade away
You are the poison for my soul.

Chillingly beautiful.. I like the mood and flow of your words, the voice is strong and the soul protected. Well expressed.
