Candyman

Candyman

A Poem by Karly

I would like to share with you

a dandy little clue

about the life you're living

and how you must stop seeting

nothing comes out perfect

especially when you make it

therefore, stop dreading mistake

'else you'll tumble for your own sake

the sun doesn't always shine on your side

obviously

while your abode may never hear the tide

of course

but stay with me, embrace my gloved hand

and i'll draw pictures for you in the sand

please don't leave my factory!

your presence is yet a mystery

stay a while for a cup of tea

and i'll let you listen to the sea...

you may frown upon my words

but know that i repeat what i've heard

my talk is from foreign lands

very valuable words, worth a grand

dear, let me share with you

a dandy little clue

about the life you're living

before your self-esteem stops breathing

they tell me self doubt is a killer

if you practice it, you're a sinner

confidence is a golden word

sadly, though, very rarely heard

happiness chimes miles away

creates smiles and sun they say

but the rain will come and deprive us all

if you simply decide to fall

how does it feel owning the weather?

power, freedom, sky and sea together

but, oh please! for the sake of me!

forever exuberant you must be

just one more clue, my loving child

that you may find just wild

i am nothing but a man in your mind

you created me, you'll soon find

you're not alone on this trip, friend

the candyman is right around the bend!

About
I think I'm pretty great. My friends and family mean absolutely everything to me; I don't know what I would do without them. My music taste varies: I like Ludo, Amy Winehouse, and Jonathon more..
