I won't forget this day. The day when my best friend simply broke me. It hurts. A lot. Like it always do.

I knew you for so long, I knew if there’s something wrong
I knew you ever since, I knew your every scheme
Still I remember that day, When I met you surprisingly
I hated you at first, But instantly liked you at your worst

Admiration flourish, Love suddenly nourish
Heart can’t stop thumping, Mind can’t stop thinking
And secretly I fell for you, I even made a poem just for you
Expressing my true feelings, Even before we became bestfriends

But destiny never permitted, the chance for us to be committed
Like an instant lover, under the moon holding each other
Still I accepted the fact, though sometimes I think it’s a bluff
Cause it’s all that it is, nothing more nothing less

We lasted for so many years, like a siblings oh so dear
I never questioned why it’s just like this
Because in an instant I fell so complete
And started to embrace the truth
That our friendship is more than what I am longing for

Yet unexpectedly you broke, and didn’t even care to look
I couldn’t imagine this would happen, It crashed my heart and felt the pain
Yes we didn’t live to be love birds, but it hurts more than a lover
And up to now still I couldn’t understand, the reason for wherever you stand
