Sensing Liberation

I've been hiding away for so long

But no longer in the shadows will I stay

Can you see me?

There is something inside of me screaming for release

A long awaited freedom

Can you hear me?

The scent of abandon fills me to the brim

Threatening to overflow

Can you smell it?

Catharsis as sweet as honey on the tongue

Finally I break away

Can you taste it?

And I'm reaching out for that single touch

The one that will make everything okay

Can you feel me?

Very powerful outcry using 5 senses.. very dramatically stated.. I felt like this one would be thunderous in tone.. interesting to know how it would be presented as You the writer intended. The title is not cheesy but well placed not outdoing the work itself but complimenting it.. I really enjoyed the flow and format.. simple yet very effective! Nicely done!

I'd love to hear the tone in your voice as this was read aloud. I think it would add a chilling feeling.
This poem gives the reader a feeling of almost being on edge, like you can't wait to get to the next line....Suspenseful! Yes, that's the word I was looking for!

that's really good. I like the way you used the italics. It would be really cool if you had a rhyme scheme like: ABCBDB..... Have the second line of every stanza rhyming. That would be awesome.
