Rainbow Colored Kisses

Light drops of red fall down on me

Small kisses on my head

I look up at the parting skies

And watch as drops of orange and blue follow

Along with purple and green

I let them wash over me

 

Then everything is forgotten

A moment of freedom from the world

As I stand here underneath these kisses

Eyes closed, hands held out

Letting everything be washed away

Soaked through with colors

 

I can feel them in my palms

Heavy kisses full of love

Full of promise and trust

A cool blanket wrapped around me

Threatening to keep me here

Forever, I'll never move

 

Slowly the sky mends

Taking away my light drops of red

Dissapearing oranges and blues

Along with purples and greens

My rainbow colored kisses have gone away

But promise to be back again.

I love the diffrent colored font, it goes with the title and i like how poetic everything sounds. Great write! :)

This was a very fun-filled poem because of its relation with the rainbow and the colors, but it was also gave me the feeling of freedom and warmth. I really loved that about this. Also the different colors made it fun to read, and I found it funny how when I saw like the word red, the color of it was blue, or when I saw purples and greens, they were the color of red. That was weird but nice :P Wonderful and creative piece.

"Soaked through with colors"

I really liked this line, it was very poignant to me for some reason. Also, I loved the idea of rainbow raindrops kissing at skin. The idea is so merry, and it makes rain less depressing for me. Thank you for sharing!
