A Forced Fate

A Forced Fate

A Poem by ~As.I.Am~

Silently she walks among them

Grimacing in pain

As she fights against herself

To protect them

At night she looks up in the sky

Remembering a day long ago

When she became the creature

She is today

Her eyes glaze over

Staring at the full moon

Lying still as stone

As feeling fades away

She remembers the kiss

Barely breathing as soft lips

Caressed her body

Sending chills down her spine

A quick flash of white

Caught her eye

The sound of breaking flesh

Soft singing in her ear

Silently she slipped away

But not moving on

Forever caught between two worlds

A forced fate

Slowly feeling comes back

Filled with emotion

But unable to react

Forever numb

I don't think I've ever told you that your writing flows very well. This is a example of that...flow...n' stuff.

Reminds me of something I wrote a long time ago. I like it. Very evocative.

A vampire with self-control? Sounds like a rough life! This flows nicely. Good one.
