Love is in the air

Love is in the air

A Poem by Avik
"

innocent and platonic love poem.

"

 I was a chubby, little boy, freckled face and low

Stealing glances now and then, seated in third row
I was not a lazy boy neither was I dumb
Only when my teacher asked I gladly went mum
School and teacher deadly duo gave me shivers quick
As soon as I stepped in school, I started feeling sick
Only silver lining was my sweat heart liana’s smile
Her tooth clip bright, shining light her ponytails beguile.
I stole a glance or two at her; I looked at sky to sigh;
I shouted “Stars, look I’m in love, I faint, I fail, I die”
