Hope This Acceptance Gives You Hell.

Hope This Acceptance Gives You Hell.

A Poem by Everything Happens For A Reason

I'll accept how you look.
I'll accept, the way you act.
I'll accept the striding, irritating walk
I used to know so well,
As long as you're walking away from me.

I'll accept you're with my best friend,
I'll accept you're a coward, in a protective shell.
I'll accept that you'll undoubtedly tell her sweet lies aswel,
I can do nothing about that,
As long as you don't break her heart infront of me.

I'll accept the past is the past,
I'll accept I did things, wrong
I'll accept the way you throw kindness back in my face,
I know you think you know everything
As long as you don't expect an apology from me.

But I won't accept, that you're a two faced liar
Who seems to want to ruin, my dream.
I won't accept that you expect, to just destroy my only good thing.
I won't tolerate, your incessant hate campaign that brings back the past
Guess what? I'm the one laughing now.

You fucked up my life once, well not anymore
I forgot what love was like, after on your way out, you broke down my door
You can spread layers of poison, but you won't succeed,
My happiness reigns, my confidence is supreme,
Listen to these words and understand, I'm not the silly little girl
You once played with the back of your hand,
So I won't be foolish, I won't be the least bit upset,
Just angry and rude, mean and selfish? of course, yeah.

I won't accept that you won't let things be.
So look at this face, you're a f*****g disgrace, I hope it gives you hell to look at me.
