Wide Eyed Browns

Wide Eyed Browns

A Poem by Everything Happens For A Reason

I traded big baby blues for wide eyed browns;
Smooth and soft, a colour chart of skin
A long stare held between baby blues and wide browns;
Air’s protection, so thin.

In this subtle room do I drown;
Music posters, innuendos in the abandoned clothes
In my guilt, I will surely drown;
All my flaws, effortlessly he starts to expose.

Where to look? Gaze up, stare down?;
Everywhere reflects the sin
Hands clasped, just stare down;
Such a surreal feeling, like artificial skin.

When will it be over, when will I earn my crown?;
Legs shake, arms ache, stomach quakes
When will it be over, when will I earn my crown?;
Mind flakes, heart breaks, past mistakes writhing like snakes

Winces and tears puncture the silence of a ghost town;
All I know is I don’t wanna forget the whispered words and soft noises you make, right now.
Memories will remain, but I will never regain the essence of my ghost town;
You are perfect to me.
We are perfect, we are one, right now.

I love that we have poems with the same title. :)
This is gorgeous, full of really rich pretty language as always. You have a knack for writing good love poems, you know, because I'm really picky with love poetry.

It's about what i think it's about, right?
