Colourblind

Colourblind

A Poem by Everything Happens For A Reason

Did I lose myself in hate?
Did I drown myself in lies?

Did I take the time to think

Who I really was inside?

Did I go along with what people wanted

People who werent me?

Did I try and make the best of something

Which just couldn't be?

Did you wish I was in your arms?

Did you let teardrops pour from your eyes?

Did you revisit our few memories

In the corners of your mind?

Did you wait for me in sadness
Or were you neutral and composed?

Did you care that much about me,

That your life fell to repose?

Life without us wasnt fair

It was black full of despair

Life without you made me weak

Life without me made you weep

Life without us wasn't right

All I did was scream and fight

Life without you, life without us,

Life till I met you, made me colourblind.

We'll be holding hands in the sun,

Making love in the cold,

Touching tongues in the rain

And never grow old

We'll watch disney movies in my room
& Then wonder how they end,

Making memories taking pictures

Baby you I will always defend.

Life without you made me colourblind,

Life with you makes me blind to anyone but you,

Life without you made me cry

Life with you makes me fly.

Making everyone see

We were meant to be

Get up move in stand up be proud

Break out squeeze in say it loud

We are worth this,

(We are worth this)

You are worth it

(I am worth it)

Life without us never will be right.

damnation, hellfre and brimstone take you, my dear. For you are wonderful and I am jealous. You can rhyme well and everything! I'm in love with the colours exploding from your mind, through your pen.

Love this, the rhyme works really well and doesn't stop it flowing and keeping meaning like a lot of poems with forced rhymes.

p.s I'm in love with mayday parade 'miserable at best'...its ingrained in my brain...
