She's A Rebel Alright.

She's A Rebel Alright.

A Poem by Everything Happens For A Reason
"

Inspiration from She Spilled Her Guts In Cursive's "Rebel Girl." Pure Props.

"

She dances till the moon comes up

Then keeps on going till it returns to the

Fold of the dusty hills.

The dawn doesnt mean much to her and shes

Normally not sober enough

To welcome

A day.

The salt stings her eyes and fruit makes her cringe

She'd be better off alone and hurting from within

Theres nothing like a gig in the summer or exchanging body heat on the beach

At dusk

Or so she says.

Her boots are huge and some suspect they could be hobnailed

To kick whoevers arse she feels might show a bit of disrespect.

The lipstick is so bright its shocking

The clothes so torn punks look on disapproving

With her hair messed up and eyes that could cut your soul

Well shes the girl all the bad guys want

(The girl you'll never have)

Shes the girl all the good girls secretly fantasise about

(The girl you'll never be)

Shes the girl everyone wants to feel like

Just for a day?

What about an evening?

Cause it must be damn exciting to walk down unique lane and round the bend to insanity avenue in those

Big ole boots and skin tight clothes

It must be amazingly amusing to wink at people with those amber coloured eyes people swear

They've seen before

Somewhere forgotten.

But what if I told you sometimes the drama breaks the girl
And she's only living for the highs

When really shes scared to death of all the lows

YEAH (you heard me)

Shes terrified below her skin

The clammy touch of fear drawing her shaking body in

All the drugs in the world cant make up for crying with laughter with people who are truly your friends

The drink just dulls the pain and starts the rollercoaster again

She wakes up alone, or with someone she met the night before

Bloodied on the inside, her clothes torn.

Oh yeah.

She's a rebel alright.

We pay the price for giving in to our weaknesses. Your poem took me on a journey where we can be on top and fall very quickly. A excellent poem.

Nice going it was like reading a day in the life of todays contemporary youth, the girl who seems to have everything perhaps she wakes up pregnant and has an abortion without a care in the world, perhaps she likes her cocktail of drugs and maybe she thinks she is a fairy or princess or maybe an angel in disguise whiter than snow white more degrees than the 3 degrees she is clever and cunning and she probably gets what she wants in life but your account is chilling and very well written i know of girls who are indeed like her in nature well done.
