When you are not near

I love him more than anything in the world, but I don't know if he realizes it. I hope that this poem will let him see what he truly means to me. I love you S.A.G.V.

It's like I don't understand

Like my mind's gone insane

But I know you're not to blame

It's my fault, and I'm ashamed

 

I can't let my feelings go

My heart can't take it anymore

I just want you, to have and to hold

But those are words that are beginning to get old

 

My eyes have been washed away with millions of tears

My soul has been crying out

My being is feared

But only...when you are not near

 

I try to calm myself down

Try to clear my head

Drown out the sound

But how will I...when you are not near??

 

I attempt lifting my head high

Wipe the tears from my eyes

Look up at the night sky

But it's worth nothing at all anymore

 

I wish upon that shooting star

Wish that you'll hear my plea from afar

Hold my heart close to you

But it's hard to wish when you are not near

 

I've fallen down

Farther than ever before

My mind is gone

I can't take it anymore

 

I just want you here

To hold in my arms

To know that you love me

To feel no alarm

 

It's hard to go through each day

Not knowing if the sky will turn to gray

But one thing is for certain

It's not worth anything at all

When you are not near...
