Timid

Timid

A Poem by Bellarina

As I looked into his eyes

Timid and quiet

Never thinking that it would go this far

He stared back at me

Gentle eyes tracing my face

I was afraid at first

More nervous than ever before

He moved in closer

His hand brushing up against mine

Closing my eyes

Feeling his breath against my cheek

I felt my knees begin to shake

It was similar to a dream

His lips touched mine

And from that moment

I felt as if I was floating

Though it was just a simple peck

To me, it meant so much more

For it was the first time in forever

That I felt like I belonged in his world
