Out of the World

Out of the World

A Poem by Bellarina

I looked through the mirror

To reveal your desperate eyes.

I turned away and thought

About turning out the light.

I can't fight away the memory

Of your existance from my mind.

I want to get rid of you for good

And be happy, once again.

You're being so thoughtless

And you're controlling me.

You're leaving me behind with

All of your worthless misery.

You're thinking of happiness

With some other pretty girl.

You're trying to push me away

And Out Of This World.

I tried to fight you away

From all of my pointless thoughts.

I can't help but run away

When your memory still haunts.

I don't believe in magic spells

And I don't appreciate your taunts.

I've dreamed of the day that you'd go away

And leave me in peace.

You're being so thoughtless

And you're controlling me.

You're leaving me behind with

All of your worthless misery.

You're thinking of happiness

With some other pretty girl.

You're trying to push me away

And Out Of This World.

I can relate to that. Good poem, I think you've found your niche with this type of piece.

The voice is sad and yearning; the heartbreak is vividly evident, even though the tone is calm and yet morose. It's pain is troubling to bear. I feel it from over here.
