Here you areA Poem by BellarinaMy eyes strain to see the clock. It's half past two. I can't seem to rest. I can't seem to be able to get my mind off of you.
Despite how you're right next to me. I'm still missing your touch. Missing your voice. Missing your hands clutching my body.
I wonder why it seems we're so far away. Distance seems to have deceived us. Forcing us to wait. But here you are... Here you are...
I turn to my side. My eyes watching you as you sleep. Like an angel. Sweet, yet serene.
Brushing my hand against your skin. Watching your muscles contract slightly. Barely moving in the midst of the night. Opening your eyes...
Running your eyes across the room. Scanning every inch of me. Curious as to why the night has awakened you. As I pretend to be asleep.
I feel you move closer. I open my eyes. I see you jump. Making me bounce in surprise.
I didn't mean to strike up a scare. Yet your eyes still meet mine. We hold each other. Gazing at one another throughout the night.
It takes everything that I have. To control what I'm feeling inside. I can't explain why you get me this way. You make me feel so ALIVE! © 2008 BellarinaFeatured Review
