Solitary

Solitary

A Poem by Bellarina
"

An insight on a woman's stuggle after being stood up on yet another date.

"

I wait by the fireplace.

Wait for you to come home.

Yet there's no hope in my heart.

There's no assurance inside.

As the tears stream down my face.

I replay the memories that I wish to erase.

I never imagined that you'd be gone.

Yet in my heart, you simply can't be.

I rise to my feet.

I walk to the door.

Gaze outside.

There's nothing to be seen.

I become saddened.

For your promise, you have broken.

I'm shattered, torn, shallow, miserable.

Wondering why I let you get the best of me again.

My eyes scan the empty rooms.

There's nothing but boredom.

Nothing but lonliness.

I just want for once to have peace.

Shaking at the thought of my abandonment.

Pondering as to why it always happens.

Then again, you've always been the leaving type.

But why leave the one that's awaiting your arrival?

Slowly inching up the stairway.

Discovering my forsaken soul.

Why did it have to be me?

Why did you leave me in silence?

truly sad... lonliness is low, when one is hurting, Aloneness can be grand if it's by your own choice.
But this was not.
I feel your pain. Like getting sun, when your garden needed rain.

How sad Sabrina, some people are just so rude, and have know concept of the damage they do to others. It is almost like they bare no conscience at all...

Nice, but sad poem.
