Chapter Three : His Arrival

Chapter Three : His Arrival

A Chapter by Bellarina
"

The longly awaited day of his visit had finally arrived!

"

She exclaimed with joy and excitement as she replaced the telephone back on it's receiver. He was departing his country and making his way to her. Both had been patient and had been anxiously awaiting the day that they would meet. He had made sure to inform her that the plane was fully fueled and that no terrorist attacks had been reported, as it would help to ease her mind a bit. He sounded very nervous, and she did as well. They would finally be able to hold one another like they had been dreaming of for the longest imagineable time.

She was very excited! She had tried on six or seven different outfits before finally deciding on which one she would choose. She still wasn't pleased with her appearance, but her mother reassured her that she looked just fine. She tossed on a pair of heeled boots, pinned her hair back, and grabbed her purse. Her mother was aware that she was nervous. "Take deep breaths...STOP FIDGETING!" she told her. Later that day, they both hopped into their car and began to make their way to the airport. She watched the exits fly by them, one by one. As they came upon the correct exit to take, her cellular rang. It was HIM! He had arrived safely and successfully! Her heart began pounding ferociously. She was shaking as they parked at the airport and got out of the car. This was the moment that both of them had been waiting for! As she entered the airport, she glanced at a piece of paper that would direct her to his exit gate. As soon as she arrived at his gate, her and her mother waited anxiously. One person...two...three...SEVERAL exited. She grew SO nervous that she had to leave to relieve herself in the restroom!

La! La! La! She finished and washed her hands. She walked out, there he stood, bags and all. She felt breathless, as light as a feather. She jumped on him, almost causing him to fall, but he didn't. His bags fell to the floor as she wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly, not ever wanting to let go. "Well hello!" he said as he placed her on the ground. She could not help herself. She grabbed him and hugged him once more. "I thought you weren't going to come." she whispered to him as tears of joy ran down her already blushed cheeks. He giggled as he picked her up, spinning her around and around. "Of course I was going to come! I wouldn't want to miss this for the world!" He wiped away her tears and then picked up his bags. They exited the airport and made their way to the car.

"This is a very big city!" he said as he gazed around in wonder and amazement. She nodded her head in agreement. "Our city isn't QUITE this big, nor is it this popular." she told him. He tossed his bags in the trunk and closed it abrumptly. He walked over to the back door and held it open, waiting for her to get in. She walked over to the other side, opened the door, jumped in, and pulled him into the car with her. "There's no need to hold a door open for me." she said. He grinned and they both shut their doors. They rode hand in hand the whole way back, silently admiring one another. FINALLY! HE HAD ARRIVED!
