Bruise

Bruise

A Poem by Bellarina

A shade of gray within the masses
Just another day shall pass
Come to terms with the answers
Nothing realistic will last

Some things can save you
Others can break you
But why let it hold you back
Why let it stand in your way

Hold on to the ashes
Remember their pain
Think back to the bruises
Don't go back again

Don't let the past control you
It'll only stand in your way
It's just another strike of the whip
The one that hurt you that way

Think back to when you were on the floor
You begged and pleaded as he hit you more
This is how he showed his love
You let it happen as he began to shove

Finally the day had come
You decided that it was time to run
Into the sun it where you chose
Pleading spirit began to shine

Open your eyes sweet child
Let this be a lesson learned
Ensure that the bridges are burned
Start out at the beginning

Happiness has risen
It's your turn

It is very important to start out at the beginning.
The lesson learned from the past experience is worth remembering.
Enjoyed reading.
