She Doesn't Have Him

She Doesn't Have Him

A Poem by The Devil's Own B***h

She’s prettier than I am
(But who isn’t?)
She’s everything I’m not
(But do I care?)
Her hair is perfect
(I hate red hair)
Her smile is bright
(But is it genuine?)
She’s married
(But not to him)
She occupies his thoughts
(But I occupy his bed)
She’s just a fantasy
(But I’m the one falling asleep in his arms tonight)
She may have it all:
Looks; money; love; even his admiration
(But she’s not the one who’s falling in love with him;
She’s not the one feeling his touch, losing herself in his kisses,
In his embrace)
Yes, she may have everything
(But it means nothing because she doesn’t have him)
