Love Doesn't Live Here

Love Doesn't Live Here

A Poem by The Devil's Own B***h

There’s a danger in loving

Somebody too much.

You give them your all;

Make them your everything

Only to realise that they

Will never return your feelings.

Where there was once light

And love and joy,

Darkness now lies,

Consuming all that was once good.

There’s a danger in caring

About somebody too much,

You’ll just realise that you

Will never be worth their time;

You’ll never be worth

Anything in their eyes.

I look around and realise that

Love doesn’t live here anymore.

I’m starting to wonder if it ever did.

Oh Josie what a heartfelt poem, I am sorry, My daughter, more then once, its a man's thing. Trough my life (I'm 66 years old) To have a successful relationship both partners have to be givers first, not receivers first (selfishness). I also I want to apologize, for ask you to read (Lifeline) it was not for the review, it's a feel good story, where my son Troy saved the life of a boy. I'm sorry for sounding demanding. God Bless.....Annie

My name is Josie and I am what people term 'weird'. I love my poetry; reading; writing; and being miserable. I know, that sounds odd, but misery is what I know and enjoy most in life. It's been a b.. more..
