![]() Smash the MirrorsA Poem by The Devil's Own B***h![]() I don't want to be my friend anymore.![]() Reflections stare back at me From the dimly lit mirror. Those faces are not my own, Are they? They couldn’t be? In front of me stands All those I hate. She, who I would kill, Stands before me, Staring back. He, whom I cannot stand, Laughs at my confusion. It, that which I fear, Stands menacingly in front of me. It cannot be! Are these all part of myself? Can these people I hate, All be a piece within me? Oh, God, this cannot be! Please, smash the mirrors; Send the shards flying! I don’t want to face me If this is what I have become. I beg of you, Crack the glass; Destroy the reflections. Please, I can’t look at myself, Because it would seem, I am my own worst enemy. Copyright©JosieWentzel29August2008
