Happily Stuck

Happily Stuck

A Story by Katryna Warnelis

If I were to lose you at any time in any hour of day in any week, month, or year, I'd lose my mind. Literally. It would walk off and never return to me again unless you came back. You hold the key to everything; my happiness, my sanity. The last thing I'm trying to do is scare you, but this is something I can't keep to myself. You're a wonder. You're the light at the end of all the tunnels I walk through everyday. You're an early morning rain shower, pouring all things lovely down on the ones with our feet on the ground. You're the excitement of Christmas morning, the smell of Autumn in the afternoon, and the glow of the lite-brite sky at midnight. Love is a never-ending feeling when I'm with you, and I never stop thinking. I never stop thinking. No matter how much more is possessing my mind, you're still number one on the list, because you never leave the party. Sometimes, I try to imagine about what it'd be like to be without you, but my mind can never get that far. It's stuck. I'm stuck on you, and I hope I never have to pull myself off.
