Every Morning

Every Morning

A Story by Katryna Warnelis

Every morning, I wake up wishing you were beside me, but every morning, all that I end up next to is the pillow your head would rest on and the blankets your body would lie beneath. And if you were here right now, we’d stay in bed for hours just talking about the future and dreaming up fantasies and hoping that, that moment, that moment right then, we’ll always remember. And if I could, I’d never let you leave; I’d hold you hostage within the confines of my heart that will always long for you. If I could, I’d give you all seven seas; take my hand, and float away with me.
