Just the seasons

Just the seasons

A Poem by Olive Belikov

the summer days are gone
i know, they're long gone.
no more flowers to pick
just my thoughts to contradict.
now the fall is here again,
you can't begin to give in
cause its all over.
when the snow comes rollin though
you roll in too with a new lover.
but i'm still sitting here
waiting for you.
watching the seasons go by.
all that time,
taking walks on cloudy days
laying beneath the moon
seeing the time slip away,
all that time
it was just the seasons.

Excellent piece! :D This kinda reminds me of the song “My December” by Linkin Park actually hehe. I’ve felt this feeling, too. For me, it’s like your whole body becomes numb when you’re all alone, and there’s nobody to be with you to love and comfort you, and that numbness freezes everything, until you shatter with the slightest touch, and you’re left there praying that somebody will come and rescue you from the pain. And it’s like that one true love you’ve wished for all time never ever comes, and you’re always left waiting forever in your own haunted world, always broken with these seasons constantly passing by eveytime =/ Sorry for the long review tho, but that’s what I got out of this poem, hehe ;) Great piece tho! :)

That was nice. I am a firm believer that all living things endure seasons of their own. I have written some similar material in the past.
