Untouched

Untouched

A Poem by Olive Belikov

These marks on my wrists
Are not my doing.
These feelings in my mind
Are out of my control.
I'm just a girl
A simple, simple girl
Who got mixed up
In the wrongs of the world.
I tried so hard
To evaid the hands of the greedy,
The mad and the evil,
But they were too quick;
There sences too sharp
For a girl like me.
Oh how I wish things were different
How I dream of having back
My spirit and will.
But I know-
As I sink down into the tub,
And as water covers my face-
That I, a pebble in a rock quarry,
Will never be found.

I like this a lot :) very well written. I liked the last couple of lines. The imagery with the bathtub and the pebble are very cool. Thanks for writing.
