How i WishA Poem by Olive Belikovthis is a poem thats spoken by to people. there both in love with each other even though they dont know it.
I'm in love with this guy,
but this guy, you see, isn't in love with me. truth is, he already has someone to adore and to hold. and that someone, will never be me. I love this girl, but this girl, you see doesn't love me. i know it's wrong, to lead the other one on, but i'm afraid to tell her she's just a pawn. His girl is pretty with soft golden hair and eyes that are fair. I'll never be as strong as she to go get the man who was meant to be. She's so beautiful with long auburn hair. When she talks i get weak when she laughs i cant speak. oh how i wish i could tell her the truth. we sit in class; side by side but he cant see the longing look in my eye. i think to myself as i doodle small hearts and a circle that has no name in the middle: "why cant he just see?" i feel so lost, don't know what to do. i'm afraid she wont love me as to her, i so dearly do. guess i'll just wait hoping she'll take the bait. i don't like this feeling of tangled confusion. i need him so, but he loves her; it'll never be me. Oh how i wish i could tell him the truth.
