Stranded LoveA Poem by Olive BelikovA strenuous love story of sorts.
She was wild, wild like a riverbed.
He was no good, bad like the hardest led. Rivers ran and led stayed put but rivers don’t always go ‘round a foot. She tried so long to make him move, but he had one thing left to prove: water has no need to stir when love makes life seem like a blur. Faith kept her always near, hoping and wishing that a certain fear was only in her imagination and she’d one day be a constellation; Bound on a soul sought journey to be loved by a love as sweet as honey. So water ran in streams of love yet he believed in an unmoving dove. And here they are, so still they’ve stayed throughout the years, past the frayed. Rivers pushing, pushing hard, led stopping any moving card. © 2013 Olive BelikovAuthor's Note
