Life in Death

Life in Death

A Poem by .abigail.
"

title says it all.

"

She breathes slowly, deeply,

Waiting for Him to come.

Not the God of life you’re thinking of,

But the God of Death.

She has never feared Him;

She long ago accepted Him as part of her life,

Even going so far as to flirt with Him at times,

Only to withdraw just as He came near.

She knew what He looked like,

Dark eyes, dark hair, pale skin.

If He were to stand in a crowded place,

He would be unnoticed.

She senses His presence,

Opens her eyes,

And gazes into his.

She knows it is her time.

He leans forwards, kisses her.

Draws her spirit out of her body,

To stand beside him,

To be taken to the land of the Dead.

A land of darkness, of beauty.

Of Life in Death.

Hey. My real name isn't Abigail, but I prefer it, and I don't want my friends to read any of the stuff I've written, so I'm not putting my real name. I was born in 1994, I live in Australia. M.. more..
