You don't see

You don't see

A Poem by .abigail.

When you look at me,

I struggle not to look away.

Your intense gaze stares into my soul.

It’s the wrong kind of intense.

It’s not the intense love gaze.

It’s a naturally intense gaze.

The one you look at everyone with.

You don’t look at anyone different.

Certainly not me.

And it hurts me.

It hurts me to know that you’ll never know of my love for you.

It hurts to know that you’ll never love me as I love you.

You look at me.

The same way as everyone else.

I look at you.

And try to send my thoughts, my longings to you.

But you never notice.

You just stare back,

And see another face that looks back at you like everyone else does.

You look.

But you don’t see.

About
Hey. My real name isn't Abigail, but I prefer it, and I don't want my friends to read any of the stuff I've written, so I'm not putting my real name. I was born in 1994, I live in Australia. M.. more..
