![]() Memories of CamelliasA Poem by .abigail.![]() had to write a poem about china once and i did it on camellia's. this is it. enjoy =)![]()
The emerald hillside rolls past, Covered in lush camellias. Not knowing how long it will last, It is forever unfamiliar. Out the window a girl looks, Her eyes wide with wonder. She beholds a soaring rook, As the land is torn asunder. The hillside is darkened with hateful progress, The camellias burnt away. The lone rook glides over the shadowed darkness, Where the evil has taken sway. The girl’s eyes trickle tears of loss, As the forlorn rook cries out for its kind. No one else knew of this cost; The rest of the world was blind. The rook realises its hapless defeat, And flies away in despair. All the while, at its feet, The darkness settles grimly in its lair. The inky blackness seeps far and wide, Taking over whatever it strokes. Invading where the goodness resides, Gone is the last chord of hope. The girl turns her head, Not wanting to see more. Memories of camellias will tonight haunt her bed, As they will forevermore.
