Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by .abigail.

I shut my eyes,

And I see your face.

My heart starts to go,

At a faster pace.

I open my eyes,

Now full of regret,

That what I just saw,

I must forget.

It cannot be,

What I desire,

Although it is all,

That I recquire.

For even if,

You were not taken,

If we took that path,

We’d be forsaken.

The law would come,

And take us away,

We would never see,

The light of day.

For you’re too old,

Or am I too young?

This wasn’t how our song,

Was to be sung.

But if we took that path,

That’s against the law,

You would just leave me,

And walk out the door.

For I know this,

But it won’t deter,

I know my feelings,

Are not returned.

You don’t love me,

Although I love you,

Whilst it would not work,

Still, dream I do.

I wasn't too sure about how to end the lines, so i just put commas for most of them. and i know some of the beat doesn't add up.

Oh your right that relates exactly to "It hurts," great job on this poem and your ending of each line was perfectly fine. Thanks for sharing this and reviewing It hurts... :)

Hey. My real name isn't Abigail, but I prefer it, and I don't want my friends to read any of the stuff I've written, so I'm not putting my real name. I was born in 1994, I live in Australia. M.. more..
