Coffee

Inhaling the earthy vapor, I take a fawn-colored sip.

Sweet and lively as Bambi.

The aching subsides.

My eyes are no longer drooping. 

On a plush love seat,

I'm swaddled in knit things. 

Warming my esophagus, I counter the nip of the draft.

Draught would be an excellent substitution. I drink coffee for warmth over being parched though :) well...unless it's iced coffee on a hot day...

Yeah lol next you could write a poem about Dr pepper or cookies or some other random consumable product ;p joking. Anyways, keep writing. If it's your dream go for it. There will be a lot of people who tell you that writing is unrealistic and you'll never make it, but just tell them to go eat a t**d. The world doesn't define you. Your potential comes from what you feel, not what you see. Have a great day :)
