Forgotten Soul

Forgotten Soul

A Poem by Jenny Perez
"

I wrote this as if Jesus was angry that he was on the cross. Mainly because he realized that his self sacrifice was useless and that no one learned from it.

"

This crown of thorns,

I wear for you.

On this cross I will rot,

A lost battle I have fought.

For your sins I suffer and bleed,

Your dark souls are all I feed.

You may pray forgiveness now,

But the devils on the prowl.

Your tears mean nothing to me.

For soon you all will see,

That I am not the one that fell.

As you will walk the gates of hell.

I will be welcomed into the light,

To look down as you all fight.

You repent, but it is just greed.

you don’t realize, your souls I have forsaken.

Cry forgiveness all you want,

For I shall sit up here and taunt.

You will wait for your godsend,

While blackened souls you try to mend.

This is soooooo sad and difficult to read and take in. There are powerful words here, I just don't agree at all with what is being said here.

This is definitely an original and creative write however.
