Romeo & Juliet

Romeo & Juliet

A Poem by Jenny Perez

Promised to one but loves another

Tis her enemy that is her lover

Put upon the cross is love

Her whole life is push and shove

Two different households they were born

And how upon their love is scorned

Up to them to end family strife

Two star-crossed lovers take their life

The streets of Verona will flood

With all their civil blood

Spilled by Montague and Capulet

Stains the hands of the fair Juliet

Now by the dagger doth she lie

As she says her final good-bye

Upon these words the whole world cried

There rust and let me die

I always liked the story of Romeo and Juliet! I like how you take the story and add to it analytically.
