Wutend Welt

Wutend Welt

A Poem by Jenny Perez

We had just hit the pines.

The glory we once had,

Now littered and dies.

Mother nature now mad.

This is our home, Our world,

But here we are killing it.

Everything now lies curdled,

Our lives, Full of s**t.

We are fading fast,

Killing ourselves.

We all live in the past,

Putting the future on invisible shelves.

Tell me why we're not here,

Never in our minds eye.

Others torment is what we hear,

But no matter cuz we're just blind.

Mother nature tosses us aside,

As father time speeds on.

Rules by which we can't abide,

Soon all will be gone.
