ElizabethA Poem by KittElizabeth This is your fault How could you forget? You trust too easily Trying to make peace with others You put yourself in jeopardy And this is what you get All your hard planning They’re thrown back in your face You knew what you were doing You knew you’d get hurt But that last little spark inside you It caused you another mistake She’s never been faithful She always runs away You still enter in this mad race Just to see her smile Her appearance is beautiful Perfect in your eyes Yet pass that she’s just plain evil Rotten to the core She knows she’s got you She uses you as a shield You fight all her enemies You can help the things you do You just want her company But she’s not in love with you You’re much too old She’s much too young You’ll give her your world Only to watch her crash it down Yet you keep on trying You’re the definition of insane You’re still hopeful That maybe one day she’ll come around You’ve told her your feelings She says you’re like a dad Such pain she puts you through You’re respectful You always give her a choice She always chooses the other It’s a sad little game you play You’ve become addicted You can see no wrong You can’t see at all You catch her every fall She never even acknowledges you She thinks of herself higher To her you’re inferior What wouldn’t you do to make her happy You’ve got nothing left to give So she kills you one last time She’ll never be a part of your life She gives you one last look Then poof She’s gone © 2013 KittReviews
